In the end, he gave her a ride down to where the cows were and then flew away. She didn’t know if he knew about her mission to take them back to the king or not, but she didn’t particularly care. The sun set spectacularly over the canyon as she ushered the cows out, and then she spent a cold night among them just outside the village before walking back the next day.

“Your cows are back.”

There was a long, long pause as the two looked at each other. A half-smile played around the king’s eyes, and Klea absolutely got the feeling he was laughing at her. No, he was laughing at her. That was why he’d dragged her here, right after she got back. He knew she’d be a tired mess from doing his bidding, and he wanted to see her in her full misery.

“I fucked another monster,” she said, crossing her arms in front of her. “Is that what you want to hear?”

“Surely that’s a figure of speech,” he said, perfectly composed, leaning back on the throne.

“Nope,” she said. “It was part man, part lion, part dragon, and I sucked his cock and then he fucked me in the ass while his tail was in my pussy.” She paused and let her words sink in. “I came twice. Hard. Is that what you wanted to hear? Is that why you call me at all hours of the night when I’m tired and dirty?”

“As long as the cows are back,” he said, spinning the scepter in one hand, not looking at her, “that’s all I care about.”

“They’re back,” she said, and turned on her heel and stalked out of the room, furious. The guards didn’t stop her.
